Hubert Henry Hardin, 85, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away on March 23, 2014. He was born July 10, 1928 in Laxon, North Carolina, to James and Emma (Carlton) Hardin. Hubert attended Boone High School, and then went into the military, spending 2 years in the Navy before retiring from the USAF after 21 more years of service. He received numerous military awards including the Vietnamese Medal of Honor. He enjoyed shooting guns and watching golf. Hubert is survived by his son Mark (Peggy) Hardin; daughter, Jeanie Thornton; grandsons, Tim and Doug Mayo, and Chad, Matt and Brad Hardin; granddaughter, Lucky VanHorn; 9 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., Prescott, AZ 86303
