Lowell "Barney" Barnhart

Lowell (Barney) Barnhart passed into eternal life on Friday, December 14, 2012. Barney served his country overseas during WWII. He was a lifetime, active member of the Church of Christ. His primary interest was in being faithful to God. He loved children. His hobbies included gardening, hunting, camping, visiting with friends, traveling and enjoying nature and life in general. He is survived by Betty, his beloved wife of 64 years. He is also survived by a brother, Roger of Cottonwood, a son Ralph of Paulden, daughters Evelyn of Camp Verde, and Jocelyn of Peach Springs. He is survived by five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews along with their families. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday, December 21st from 3:00 to 5:00PM. The celebration of Barney’s life will be held at the Mt. Vernon Church of Christ on Saturday, December 22nd at 10:30AM. Barney’s body will be interred at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday, December 28th at 1:30PM with full military honors.
