Norma Louise (Dahlin) Ferra

On the afternoon of June 11th, 2026, Norma Louise Ferra passed peacefully in Prescott, Arizona, where she lived her entire life. Norma was born to Arthur and Katherine Dahlin on September 3, 1933, the first of two daughters. Her sister Ethel followed a few years later. She grew up between Prescott, Walker, Az and Mayer, Az. Her father was a Jack of all Trades and worked numerous different jobs throughout his life. Sometimes they called home a tent in the middle of nowhere, a cabin in Walker, or a home in Mayer or Prescott as the girls became school age. After graduating from Prescott High School in 1951, she began working alongside her mother at Mountain Bell as a phone operator. She worked for Mountain Bell for a total of 30 years, until they closed the phone operator and business office locally. Norma then got a job as a teller at Valley National Bank (later to become Bank One and then Chase) where she worked until her retirement. During all this time, she also raised her four children, Clint, Lori, Tracy and Matt. One of her hardest days was the passing of her son Clint from cancer at the age of 28, but she never allowed it to stop her from giving her love to her remaining children and showing what true strength, respect and love looked like. She loved too garden, and her yard was a spectacle come springtime. Passers by would stop, to comment on how beautiful her flowers were. She entered her dahlias into the county fair many times and won ribbons consistently. Her other great loves were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were her pride and joy, and she showed them every day how much she loved them! She will always be remembered for her strong faith in Jesus Christ and the unconditional love she had for all she met. Norma was preceded in death by her parents Art and Katherine, her sister Ethel and her oldest son Clint. She is survived by her daughters Lori (David), Tracy (Robert) and her son Mathew. She is also survived by her grandchildren Katie Ferra Gutierrez, Chris Parker (Raquel), Jaime Cook (Rob), Michael Ferra (Erika), Cody Tarlip, Hunter Badilla and Brody King, her great grandchildren Rico, Azalea, Cruz, Mari, Maverick, Clinton, Logan, Emma, Everett and Elliott. Numerous friends and nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be scheduled, at a later date.
